User operation menu for teachers, students, and report workflows
This page introduces the main operating flow of the Interactive Exam application. Use it as a starting menu for learning the product and understanding what each module does.
What Interactive Exam does
Interactive Exam is built to help teachers prepare exams and help students complete those exams in an organized, timed, and reportable workflow.
| Module | Main Purpose | Typical User |
|---|---|---|
| Teacher Management | Create, edit, and manage reusable question banks and exam settings. | Teacher / Instructor |
| Student Exam | Launch an exam, answer questions, and submit before time expires. | Student |
| Scoring | Compare student answers with standard answers and calculate results. | Teacher / System |
| Reports | Create PDF reports and export them to a user-chosen location. | Teacher / User |
How teachers use the app
- Open the application and choose Teacher Management from the first screen.
- Create a new question bank or open an existing one.
- Add questions in multiple-choice or text-answer format.
- Set the correct answers and exam timing rules.
- Save and maintain exam content for later reuse.
How students use the app
- Choose Student Exam from the first screen.
- Select the assigned exam.
- Read each question and answer it interactively.
- Monitor the timer while progressing through the exam.
- Submit the exam before time ends, or let the system stop accepting answers automatically when the timer expires.
How results are calculated
The app compares student answers with the teacher’s standard answers. The scoring process supports structured evaluation and generates a report-ready outcome.
- Multiple-choice responses can be matched exactly.
- Text responses can be compared according to the app’s configured answer rules.
- Results can then be prepared for reporting and export.
How report saving works
Interactive Exam supports PDF reports for exam results and summary output. The app is designed to use user-facing save/export workflows so users can choose where the report file should be saved.
- On macOS, a standard save dialog can be used for user-selected file destinations.
- On iOS, the Files export interface can be used so the user chooses the final destination.
- This approach keeps exported user documents separate from hidden internal app data.
